GRANNY SHARON COMES TO VISIT

“Bzzzzhoo!! Granny Sharon Bee is coming to visit”, buzzed Penny and Bucky. They were flying loops all over the hive. They loved their Granny Sharon and always had so much fun when she came to visit. Their Mom and Dad, Money and Honey, had gone to the Flowerport to pick her up. They knew she would be tired and were fixing a nice place to rest and some pollen tea as a treat when she arrived.

The door to the hive opened and in flew Granny Sharon. After many hugs and kisses they waited for her to give them the presents she always brought with her. She gave them new petal bikes and honey pops. They thanked her and went outside to play with their new bikes.

Granny, Money and Honey stayed inside. All at once they heard a lot of noise outside. They went to the door and listened. Bucky and Penny were riding their new petal bikes, eating their pops and telling everyone that their Granny had given them their new toys and they weren’t letting anyone have a turn. “Oh no, this will never do,” buzzed Granny Sharon. “We agree,” said Money and Honey. They called Bucky and Penny inside.

“Oh my little beedens, I think it is time you learned about sharing,” buzzed Granny Sharon. “What do you mean?” buzzed Bucky and Penny. “Well, you did not know how to share with your buzzies so we are going to do something to help someone else,” buzzed Granny. “Tomorrow we are going to take your petal bikes and go to the Beeden’s Hospital. I, also, want you to take out some money from your hive bank before we go.”

The next day they stopped by the nectar store and Granny had the beedens buy honey pops with their money.. When they got to the hospital Granny told the beedens, “Now, I want you to give each of the little beedens a honey pop and then give those that can ride a turn on the petal bikes.” Oh what fun they had. All of the little beedens at the hospital were buzzing and flapping their wings with happiness. They clapped and cheered Bucky and Penny and thanked them so much for sharing their petal bikes and honey pops. Bucky and Penny could not stop smiling all the way home. They thanked Granny Sharon for a fun day. Granny Sharon said to them, “Remember yesterday when you would not share with your buzzies. Imagine how much more fun you could have had if you had shared. It’s fun to play with our toys and to spend money on ourselves, but it is important to share what we have with others, also. Think how many smiles you saw today and the fun you gave all the sick little beedens. You not only shared your toys but you used some of your money to buy them something special. Thank you for letting me go with you.”

“Wow, Granny Sharon, your name should be Granny Sharing. We learned a lot from you today. We love youzzz. Thank you,” buzzed Bucky and Penny.

“Your Granddad Sven is going to visit soon and when he comes he is going to teach you some dances,” buzzed Granny Sharon. “Wozzzzzzz, we can hardly wait. Let’s go outside and play with our buzzies,” buzzed Bucky and Penny.
