Standing together, no matter the challenge.

It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone! You always hear that as you get older, time seems to go by faster. I hate to admit it, but I think it’s true. With everything that has happened over the past three years, it’s just a blur. Bronco has diligently continued to try and meet the needs of our members. We feel confident that we have done that even after dealing with the ongoing effects of the pandemic.

We were allowed to return to some sort of normalcy in 2022. Thanks to the support of our members, Bronco had a solid year. This was evident through strong loan growth and returns on investment income. Unfortunately, we finally witnessed rising rates for the first time in quite a few years. Everyone predicted rates would rise eventually, and they finally did. Through it all, our entire staff has been dedicated to facing the challenges of the future and continuing to be the community partner we have been in the past.

As always, Bronco recognizes that our sole purpose is to serve you, our members. We continue to remain a safe and secure financial institution that maintains a “Well Capitalized” rating by our regulator. We hope the assistance we provide, and our competitive financial products and services, are why we have such loyal members. We do not take that loyalty for granted. Thank you for your continued support and for allowing us to be your proud financial partner.

Thanks again! And as always, I wish a safe and prosperous New Year to everyone!

Hometown Heroes: Crystal Blythe

Our teammates really make the difference by giving you that “Welcome Home” feeling every time you visit a Bronco office. In this issue, we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Blythe.

Crystal is a Card Services Specialist who has been with Bronco for 17 years. She is responsible for all the backend issues that can happen with debit and credit cards—for example, the card is denied, there are charge disputes or the magnetic strip won’t swipe any longer. If there’s a problem with a member’s card, Crystal is our go-to team member.

A truly momentous occasion

Our next annual meeting will be the first in-person gathering we’ve been able to have in three years. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the Paul D. Camp Community College Workforce Development Center.

Please make plans to join us for some light snacks and refreshments, as well as some face-to-face conversation, as we talk about the year in review and what to expect in 2023 and beyond.
We’re truly looking forward to seeing you

2023 scholarship applications now available.

At Bronco, you hear us say, "Welcome Home," a lot. There comes a time, however, when we bid local students farewell as they head off to further their education. For years we’ve been a proud sponsor of providing these opportunities through the annual Bronco Federal Credit Union Scholarships. And this year is no exception. Multiple scholarships are available, including the John Alan Glasgow, the Charles A. Wrenn, the James C. Copeland, the Robert T. Petty and Bronco FCU awards. Additional information and applications are available now on our website.
Applications are due March 15TH — Apply today

Taking the “oof” out of “spoofing”

Call spoofing is when a scammer disguises their Caller ID number so unsuspecting people believe it’s a trusted entity phoning them. When the recipient picks up, the scammer uses a script to try and trick the person on the other end into providing them with personal information that can then be used for identity theft and fraud. Remember, no one from Bronco will ever ask you for personal information over the phone. Always be suspicious of numbers you don’t recognize. And if someone calls you claiming to be from Bronco, unless the call was pre-arranged, please hang up immediately.
