Business Account Checklist

To help you open your Business Checking Account quickly and efficiently, here is a checklist of the documents and information you’ll need to get started.

Sole Proprietorship

• Name, address and social security number of all authorized signers on the account
• Copy of all authorized signer’s Driver’s License
• Fictitious Name Certificate¹
• Tax ID Number (if applicable)

Corporation

• Name, address and social security number of all officers and authorized signers on the account
• Copy of All officers and authorized signers’ Driver’s License
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation
• Tax ID Number
• Fictitious Name Certificate¹
• Copy of Articles of Incorporation
• Copy of By-laws
• Minutes

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

• Name, address and social security number of all officers and authorized signers on the account
• Copy of All officers and authorized signers’ Driver’s License
• Copy of Certificate of Organization
• Fictitious Name Certificate¹
• Tax ID Number
• Copy of Articles of Organization
• Copy of Operating Agreement

Partnership

• List of Partners who are authorized Signers including name, address, phone number and social security number of all partners and authorized signers on the account
• Copy of all partners’ Driver’s License
• Tax ID Number
• Fictitious Name Certificate¹
• Partnership Agreement

Organization, Club or Church

• List of authorized signers including name, address, phone number and social security number of all officers and authorized signers on the account
• Copy of All officers and authorized signers’ Driver’s License
• Tax ID Number
• Documented minutes from business meeting
• Certification and authorization by the Secretary
• By-laws of organization (if applicable)
• Exemption Letter if 501C

Estate

• Name, address and social security number of the Executor of the estate
• Copy of the Executor’s Driver’s License
• Tax ID Number
• Copy of Death Certificate
• Letter of Qualification
