Hometown Heroes – Meredith Bailey
Our teammates set us apart, bringing that warm, familiar feeling to life every time you walk through the doors at Bronco. To help you get to know them better, we spotlight a team member in each Hometown newsletter.
This issue’s Hometown Hero is someone many of you already know from behind the teller line: Meredith Bailey, Head Teller at our Franklin office.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Meredith returned home to Franklin and joined Bronco a little over three years ago, unsure of what to expect. But it didn’t take long for her to find her stride.
With a gift for problem-solving, a passion for leadership and a deep care for our members, Meredith quickly became a vital part of the team. Whether she’s supporting her fellow tellers, helping members with their daily business needs or greeting someone by name, Meredith embodies the heart of Bronco.
How long have you been with Bronco? What led you to join the team?
I joined the Bronco team a little over three years ago. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I returned to Franklin to look for work closer to home. I didn’t know what to expect when I started at Bronco, but I quickly realized how much I enjoy the work, the team and the connection with our members.
What makes you good at what you do?
I like to stay a few steps ahead and think through challenges before they come up. I enjoy solving problems and finding smarter ways to get work done. I also really like leading a team. Working together and seeing everyone succeed is the best part of the job.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy building relationships with our members and getting to know them over time. It’s rewarding to be someone they can count on, and it makes the work feel more meaningful.
We understand you’re the Head Teller. Tell us more about that and how you help members with their needs.
As the head teller, I oversee the vault and support our teller team on a day-to-day basis. I’m the go-to person when someone on the team has a question or needs help working through a situation. My goal is to support and motivate my team so they feel confident and capable, and to make sure we’re delivering the exceptional service our members expect from Bronco.
What do you think draws people to Bronco?
I think people are drawn to Bronco because of the strong connection it has with the community. There’s a real small-town feel that makes members feel comfortable and confident they’ll be taken care of. It’s more than just banking, our members trust us.
What does Bronco’s “Welcome Home” tagline mean to you?
To me, “Welcome Home” means being part of a place where you’re known and valued. Bronco feels like family. You see familiar faces, you’re greeted with kindness, and there’s a real sense of comfort and belonging. It’s not just where you bank, it’s where you feel at home.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love going to concerts. Live music is one of my favorite ways to unwind and have fun. I also really enjoy building LEGO sets, especially the flower collections.
