Bronco Federal Credit Union Unveils Transformed Godwin Boulevard Branch

Bronco Federal Credit Union marked a milestone for the Suffolk community this week with the grand reopening of its newly renovated Godwin Boulevard branch. And the response from guests said it all: “I love it! Wonderful transformation!”

The celebration drew members, neighbors, business partners and community leaders for tours, refreshments and a chance to see the transformed space firsthand. Suffolk Mayor Michael D. “Mike” Duman joined Bronco CEO Mike Kenzie for remarks that reflected on the credit union’s nearly two-decade presence in the area.

“Today is not just about reopening a branch,” Kenzie told attendees. “It is about renewing our promise to this community, to our members, to our employees and to the people and families who will walk through these doors in the years ahead.”

The renovation was designed with members in mind, creating a warmer, more welcoming environment that reflects Bronco’s commitment to personal service. The design/build firm DEI led the project, with Denise Riddick overseeing the renovation and Ashley Covington guiding the branch’s updated branding and visual experience. The Suffolk Economic Development team also played a key role in organizing the event.

For Kenzie, the reopening carries a broader meaning: “This grand reopening is a sign of confidence. Confidence in this area, confidence in its people, confidence in its businesses and confidence in the future we can help build together.”
